Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:15 pm
February 8 through March 22 (six sessions; no class on March 11)

Taught by Rob Krumm.

This class will teach you basic guitar-playing skills including tuning, right-hand and left-hand techniques,
holding the pick, strumming styles, and a lot of chords.  Please note: we will be using picks for the class
and we will not be doing any finger picking.

If you already play a little bit of guitar then you may want to check out our
Cretaceous String Band" or
wait for the next offering of our
Guitar Repertoire class or Blues Guitar class.

We'll start slowly and learn chords and techniques within the context of several tunes including: I'll Fly
Away, This Land is Your Land, Amazing Grace and others. In addition, you will learn exercises that will help
to strengthen your hands and fingers.

You should come away from this class with a better understanding of playing the guitar and the desire to
keep playing your guitar!

Please contact us if you need a guitar as a limited number of guitars are available for use during the
six-week class period for an additional fee.

The fee for the Guitar From Scratch class is $90.

If you are interested in taking this class or have questions about the class, please contact our instructor,
