costumes from home, make a mask at our workshop, or borrow items from the IMC Costume
Shop!  Of course there will be beads!

"Try it!" Tent
Try out instruments--it's fun!  C4A faculty and senior students will be on hand to help and

Special music workshops!
  • Workshops in violin, mandolin, or ukulele taught by our faculty members.  If you attend
one of these workshops you should be able to learn enough to be able to jam with
members of  the Bow-Dacious String band in our workshop concerts upstairs.  If you
want to stick around you may also perform with the whole band on-stage downstairs!

  • Banjo workshop: pick up historic tidbits as you learn about different banjo styles in this
workshop hosted by faculty banjoists Tom Faux and Ken Holmes. Bring your banjo if
    you like!

Face Painting!
Get a fabulous new identity at the hands of our face-paint pro!  You can show it off in the
costume parade!

Watch a violin repairman at work!
Justin Hacker from Casa del Sol Violins will be on hand to show you about violin making and
repair!  Do you have a violin-family instrument you'd like Justin to look over?  Bring it in!  He
may be able to do small repairs on the spot, or he can arrange for you to have your
instrument repaired another day.
